A Day in Charleston and Running into Nikki Haley for the 3rd Time
On the eighth day of the trip to South Carolina on the road to the louse. We woke up very early and headed off to the other side of the state where we went to Charleston. What a beautiful city and we were greeted with a lot of rain. we started our day at the University of Charleston where we met with the authors of the books that we have been reading and studying in class, which was really cool because we got on the eighth day of the trip to South Carolina on the road to the lighthouse. We woke up very early and headed off to the other side of the state where we went to Charleston. What a beautiful city and we were greeted with a lot of rain. we started our day at the University of Charleston where we met with the authors of the books that we had been reading and studying in class, which was really cool because we got to meet the people behind the work of what we had been discussing about our trip we got to ask a lot of interesting questions on how the South Carolina primary really works from somebody who has studied in the south. We then got to hear from an unexpected guest, but one of Ron DeSantis, his campaign manager it was so interesting to see our governor and his team here in South Carolina.
We then headed over to the other side of Charleston to the Patriot's Point and Maritime Museum, where Nikki Haley would then give another speech, but I was really nauseous and from something I had eight that I ended up sitting this one out I took a nap in the van during her speech, but my friends had a lot of fun. It was more women-focused, which was such a blast the pictures look like it was great, but I just feel absolutely terrible. I think I was feeling a bit homesick being gone for eight days and working nonstop on politics for the entire duration, especially with another party that I'm not familiar with took a toll for sure we ended up not getting home until almost midnight, but it was definitely worth it.
